With 12 Men's and 8 Women's teams set to compete, the stakes are high, and the excitement is palpable. Championship passes and day passes are available for purchase via Eventbrite 🎟️ With the strategic 'throw' from DMG, Peninsula Co-op, and Curl BC are 'sweeping' into action, bringing the dynamic sport of curling to the youth of Greater Victoria. As part of the 2024 BC Men's and Scotties Women's Curling Championships presented by Best Western from January 23-28 at the Archie Browning Centre, Victoria, BC, we are growing the passion of Curling in 150 elementary students. Under the dedicated guidance of Curl BC's coaches and volunteers at the Esquimalt Curling Club, these young enthusiasts will learn teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Thanks to the team at BC Sports Hall of Fame, Tom Mayenknecht and Michelle Kitchen, as well as many others for putting on a great conference. 🌟 Thursday: We were honored to be a part of the Sport BC Community Hero Awards, kicking off the BC Sports Hall of Fame 2023 Annual Summit. It was an inspiring evening where we joined Sport BC in recognizing the invaluable contributions of BC Sport volunteers. 🗣️ Friday Morning: The General Meeting of the BC Sports Hall Network provided a platform for insightful discussions on the development of local, regional, and sport-specific sports halls, museums, galleries, and exhibits in our beautiful province. 🍽️ Friday Lunch: The Defining Moments Luncheon, powered by the Canadian Sport Institute Pacific was a heartwarming tribute to the defining moments in British Columbia and Greater Victoria's sports history.
